Have had this well over a year, so definitely has a long lifespan. Our cat loves it so much he won't drink water from anything else. It goes with him when he gets kitty sat, last time the sitters had a dog and they had to purchase one for their dog after our cat left, lol. Still works great too. The light is awesome because no one trips on it at night.We change filters out at least once a month and rinse them weekly. We wash it with dish soap monthly, is easy to take apart. (This requires weekly rinsing or it will build up with hair and whatever else drops into it. But the health benefit to your pet far outweighs the weekly cleaning.)Our cats favorite part is drinking from the actual fountain. Occasionally he will put his paws in it and splash water on himself which is absolutely hilarious to watch.I highly recommend this product for your pet, just understand it does need rinsed weekly but other than that is low maintenance. *I buy the filter refills for about $12 here on Amazon for eight months worth. As well pipe cleaners help with getting into the small grooves when cleaning.*

Recently acquired a stray little guy who had a ravenous appetite but did not seem to be drinking much water. We drink bottled, so that was what we put out for him..Switched to filtered that I use for cooking - no change...Straight tap...nope. A little research led me to an article about pets who do not like "still" water - who knew??? This fountain changed all of that! Absolutely silent, night light with on/off switch, easy clean/assembly (we are not using the provided filters because we change the water daily). And best of all Jack the cat loves it. Have purchased several more as hostess gifts for Wine Night (pets welcome). All have been a hit - all for just 20 bucks!

My cats has loved this! I do wish however I went all stainless steel. The flower on top has given her cat acne because of the bacteria that plastic can harbor. So, clean every week and you will be good! The battery life has held up as you just plug it into the wall and it will sound a little funny if it gets too low so you know when to fill it up! I can pour my water bottle into the top and the water holds in the metal dish and doesn’t spill over! I think it was super easy to put it together. I think it was a good purchase especially since I am not filling up her water bowl every day so it was worth the cost to me! I just wish the flower part was plastic but I can’t help the build quality.

Our 2 cats love this! They weren't fans of drinking from a dish. We adopted them both not knowing much about them but I knew we didn't want them going for the toilets. I was drawn to this one because of it having a light.It's silent, we only hear it when it needs more water. Holds quite a bit of water, too! I use salt, hot water, and a scrubber to clean it once a week and the cats like that way better because it doesn't cause distaste in the plastic elements. The cords nice and long, and I like that I can turn the light off if I need too (though we leave it on since it gives a nightlight to the cats litter box and supply room). It's been working great, with no issues, and we're happy with it.

He loves drinking flowing water, it was so bad he would bolt into the kitchen, into the bathroom and drink from the toilet until we were fed up tripping over him. Finally, we ordered this and he loves it. The indicator light is so convenient and can be seen at all times so there’s no worry of forgetting to fill it. Great product!
