Maybe Someday

I was so excited to start reading this book but it left me so distressed and frustrated. I can't believe how many 5 star reviews have been left on this book as I cannot understand why.I absolutely cannot stand love triangles but I can tolerate them sometimes when I feel like the characters have true chemistry/love. The main male character has a girlfriend, and the main female character has just been cheated on. THIS BOOK GLORIFIES CHEATING and right until the end of the book I was left feeling as though the female character was only chosen as a second choice because the guy's girlfriend left him.The only reason I'm giving this book 1 star is because I liked how this book was connected to songs, and because of the interactions between the two main characters via texts/Facebook due to one of them being deaf. Other than this, this book was so disappointing and I would never recommend this to young people as it highlights that things like cheating are okay.

I can't even begin to describe my love for Colleen Hoover and for this book! If you read one book this year, make it this!! Colleen Hoover has opened up this new genre called New Adult - stories that fill the gap between your teenage years reading Sarah Manning and suddenly being thrown into Adult Fiction - these are college age protagonists, sometimes older, who are dealing with all of the things we deal with in those in-between years, but with THE most amazing storylines. Hoover is real, witty, swoony and all-round amazing, she has dragged chick-lit and romance into the 21st Century kicking and screaming. This book has a soundtrack! Seriously, the protagonists are kinda singer-songwriters, and as their story unfolds, you can actually listen to the songs they've written. I. Can't. Even.Check out my full review here:[...]

When I found out that Colleen Hoover was writing this standalone novel, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I've read six of her books now, including this one, and I still just can't get enough of her beautiful stories.I always find that Colleen Hoover's books have something different about them, something that makes them stand out from average Romance and New Adult novels. This book definitely didn't disappoint, as I was in for a big shock with this one.Sydney is a great character, who's living in what appears to be a perfect life before it's shattered on her 22nd birthday. Luckily for her, Ridge is already looking out for her and takes her in to his apartment. Sydney and Ridge start to write music together, and she helps him to overcome his writer's block. Sydney starts to believe that it's possible for her to move on, until Ridge informs her that he has a girlfriend.This plays havoc with Sydney's heart, as she's not sure if she's over her ex-boyfriend yet, and certainly didn't think she'd be having these feelings so soon. However, feelings have a nasty habit of popping up when you least expect them.I really enjoyed this book, just as I expected I would. Colleen Hoover's books are always perfect for curling up with at any time of day and just reading until you have to remember to eat, or sleep, or go to work. Everybody that loves Romance books with a beautiful story should read this right away.

This book broke my heart several times. If you’re a fan of the books of Colleen Hoover, you can’t miss this one. I laughed, I cried, my heart broke but at the end I just cried happy tears. This story is very painful and emotional, I cried trough a lot of it left me with a huge emotional hangover. I fell in love with Ridge, I fell in love with every single part of him and I really felt like being a part of this book. I recommend this book to anyone who is ready to be in an emotional roller coaster, I also recommend to listen to the songs of Griffin Peterson, they’re absolutely worth it and will make you love the book even more.

Although many of us always claim that any book we like to be the best book we've read, I could honestly say this is actually the best book I have read. It's so beautifully written, and is filled with emotion. It's by far the best romance book I have come across. I would advise anyone to read it.I am definitely going to read more of Colleen Hoover's books since this has been my favourite.
