Perfect! helped me through a very feared course

I only downloaded this (Kindle version) text today, but I immediately noticed two things missing that I would have expected to find: an Index at the end of the book and mention of the General Linear Model (GLM).These days, the GLM is being emphasized over traditional analysis of variance (ANOVA). As this is a very basic text, I understand the decision to omit a lengthy discussion of the topic, but it should have been mentioned!The lack of an index isn’t a huge deal for the Kindle version, but if it’s also missing from the paper version that might be an issue. Even with the Kindle version, there’s a difference between searching for a specific term and browsing an Index for cues to or reminders of important concepts.Neither of these issues is a deal-breaker, as there seem to be several things to like about this text—hence my initial four-star rating. The writing seems clear and understandable to students with no prior background in statistics. As a former statistician looking to get back into the game after 10 years of not using SPSS, I am also grateful for the approach taken here.
