big enough to pour the two cups of water in all at once...
... although I'm told that's not the ideal way to brew pour-over coffee.The design for two mugs is really useful, and it also fits nicely on the Melitta 6-cup carafe I bought last year (this purchase was to replace the filter holder for that carafe, because the glaze split).

Complete game changer for me.
You won't regret getting this it's made such a difference. I always had instant coffee in, which I quite like, as I don't usually have the time to brew coffee. So, this little thing just makes a cup of ground coffee, so fresh, in the same amount of time. Get the Melita papers too. Just so easy and clean I must admit coffee grounds get everywhere from the cafetiere and they're difficult to dispose of, this makes all this a thing of the past. My new friend indeed.... Trying lots of coffees now, wish I'd got this year's ago I really do!!!
