Beautiful book
I was enthusiasttically pleased with this book when it arrived. Gorgeous colored photographics and a great tool for anyone interested in learning more about Egyptology. Kent Weeks has done a fine job in the Valley of the Kings and this is a supporting tool for me.

Wonderful.
Having read Mr.Weeks's The Lost Tomb, I had to have this next. Photographs are absolutely beautiful, showing so elegantly the surface of the paintings. The cross-section aquarelle of Nefertari's tomb is so thoughtful. Recommend!

Quality
This is the sort of book you are proud to have in your collection. Everything from the binding to the pictures to the heavy paper and foldout photographs reeks of quality. It's a tome (note the weighty size).Content is readable and enlightening, and the photographs are wonderful. A shame that so many of the tombs are not covered (perhaps, having been there, I wished that the ones I had seen were all included).I don't know if I've ever sought out books from a particular publisher before, but this book sent me on that quest, and I highly recommend it.

Amazing, fabulous book.
Amazing book written by top archaeologist. 434 pages in hardback, 14 inches by 10 inches. All glossy pages. Wonderful photographs and illustrations. This must be the very best book on the subject. I am off to Luxor for my 10th visit in 3 days time. Too heavy to take with me but I shall read it very well before I go. Great!

Valley of the Kings: The tombs and the Funerary Temples of Thebes West
This is a stunning book, full of fabulous photos of internal views of a lot of the tombs that are normally inaccessable to the public ( unless you can pay a lot of money to see them!) Kent Weeks has been excavating the famous KV5 Tomb since the mid '80s, that was built we now know, for the sons of Rameses the second. It is great to see photos of this project in more detail. There is a so much well researched information; a must for Egyptophiles! Super book!
