Two Dogs Designs 2D-FP48005 Fire Pit Cover With Level 4 UV Protection, 48-Inch, Khaki

I have bought this item repeatedly. Very happy with the cover based on the price, but in Texas it only seems to last about a year before needing to be replaced. The material is very thick and sturdy, but gets stiff and brittle after months exposed to the elements.

We brought the product to cover our bar height fire pit and 6 chairs. The material is heavy duty, water resistant and ties down snugly so the wind doesn’t blow it off. We are very pleased with this cover.

Works great for the free-standing "Endless Summer, WAD792SP, Bronze Crossweave Firebowl Fire Pit" we purchased through Amazon 3 years back. The only drawback and it's my fault is the UV Protection. Not sure what is meant by Level 4 protection but I can say sitting outside in Ohio 24x7, after 2 years it has faded badly and is not a grey/green color. Not horrible, but not at all uniform in tone or color now so I'll be replacing it.Next go-round I'm going to do like I do with our Grill and Smoker Covers and that sit outside all year every year and that is treat them with some high quality 303 brand UV protectant sold for Automotive use. My other two covers are 99% awesome after years of exposure too. I failed to treat the fire pit as it used to sit out much farther in a different area of our yard. Now it's up on our patio and not so out of sight out of mind for me.Overall though, a great product.

The first thing that you will notice about this cover is that it is VERY lightweight. The tag on the cover details “100% premium weight polyester with recycled PVC backing”. This is not two layers – just one composite material. It is made in China. I purchased the 48 inch diameter cover for use on a round fire pit with a diameter of 45.8”. It is a tight fit, and takes some working over the rumblestone sides to cover the pit. However, because of the elasticized bottom and the tight fit there is certainly no risk of it blowing off! There are 4 pairs of Velcro straps around the base of the cover (see photo) – but on my fire pit they are useless as they do not reach each other to tie together! I presume that they are designed to pull together so as to cinch the cover tightly around the fire pit. But on a 45.8 inch diameter fire pit they are basically 2 inches too short and don’t even meet! Maybe I just got a bad one? Maybe they are not designed to work at 45.8 inches diameter (remember – this is for a 48 inch fire pit). Or maybe they are for some other purpose that has eluded me? In my case I’ll just have to cut them off so that they don’t look as bad just left hanging loose. I put the cover on the fire pit one week ago, shortly before a rain shower. All week since then, the temperature has been in the high 90F with no further rain. I took the cover off today and found water on the inside of the cover and on the metal fire pit bowl. (See attached photos). So in short, it is definitely NOT waterproof – though once the water is on the inside it seems to be difficult to evaporate out – even in our high temperature in Texas. I have struggled to find a cover for this fire pit, so will keep it and see how it holds up.

Easy to put on and fit perfectly on my fire pit

Although we've only just received this cover, it seems fairly durable and made of good materials. The online product description did not include the elasticized edge or the 4 sets of velcro straps to secure the cover. I tried 2 other covers before ordering this one and probably would have chosen this one sooner if I had known it had the elastic and velcro. The online photo of the cover makes it look like it hangs loose around the fire pit, which made me pass it over for previously ordered covers. We get a lot of wind and I believe this cover will stay in place, as well as keep out the rain.We had a problem when we first received the cover because we got a duplicate shipment. I contacted Amazon, who in turn contacted the seller. The seller received a duplicate order 2 seconds after receiving the first order. The seller was more than willing to refund the duplicate order (including shipping), as well as send us a return label for sending the duplicate back to them at their expense.In all, I am happy with the service from both Amazon and the seller, as well as the quality of the fire pit cover.

Thank goodness I found this! We have a large, square fire pit, and I have been having trouble finding the cover that would fit it. Most are too small by a few inches! The one that came with the pit had fallen apart, and bringing it in during winter was simply not feasible for us, so we were very happy to find this.It is heavy duty and I really like the velcro straps on the side that allow us to customize the fit to our table. So far, it has resisted fading this summer, and it looks like it will do the job throughout the winter as well. I do anticipate needing another next year as the weather really takes a toll on these types of products, so I hope it will still be around next year!

Size as described, easy to put on and take off. Too early to comment on water proofing.

Fits perfectly. Seems very durable.

I ordered this product due to the dimensions and heavy duty material. When it arrived, it wasn't even close to fitting over my firepit despite the dimensions stated should have covered it. I was forced to cut the bottom sides in order to get it to fit. Then, after the first rainfall, I found that my steel spark guard that is meant to be protected by this cover was covered with rust from the rain despite being covered by this product. I scrubbed off the rust and repainted the spark guard only to have the rust come right back after the next rainfall despite being covered once again by this product.It doesn't keep bad weather out and doesn't fit as it advertised.

Wish it was a little higher but all in all fits snug and does the trick
