Clear audio, great price!
I'll start by declaring that this microphone is situated in the CA lineup right between the CVL 2005 and the CVL2230. The latter adds features to the Cyber Acoustics CVL 2009 that not everyone needs or wants. Most importantly that's the ability to adjust the volume of the headphones plugged into the microphone itself while also claiming zero latency. Beyond that, the design and functionality of the CVL 2009 and the CVL 2230 are effectively identical, it the latter is much bigger. The microphone provides 48kHz / 24 bit sampling rate and for my purposes that translates into incredibly detailed audio for the voice-overs. The sensitivity characteristics have dual personality and can be switched between cardiod or spherical with a button in the back. For me, that's of little significance as I don't use it for meetings or interviews where the sensitivity needs to include the area behind the microphone. (Btw., even the lower end CVL 2005 provides excellent audio quality despite being "limited" to 44.1KHz / 16 bit, although exclusively in a cardiod pattern.)The microphone has a mute button and a volume button for the gain of the microphone. The mute button has a status LED where blue means live and red means muted. that's a great help to have visual certainty when you don't want to be accidentally live. The lights on the side of the microphone are cool but lack a clear purpose rather than decorations. They are unaffected by any of the described button on the microphone (or the computer settings) and are for decoration only. I think they could do that, but also give the light meaning. It could be coupled with the mute button or some other innovative function I am missing right now. Note: The implied rainbow pattern of all colors shown sequentially in a pattern is for illustration only and not an actual lighting mode. The microphone gain dial is a great idea even if in my use I am having it set to full. However, there are situations when it's easier to reach to that button right in front of me than digging thru the computer controls. There is no adjustment of the volume of the included headphone monitor output. Even with adjustability, I don't see myself using it often. For one, I am not proficient in using it to monitor and correct my own narrations. On the other hand, I am not in a noisy environment to have to isolate myself from the environment. The sound quality from this microphone is great. Sampling rate aside, the condenser microphone picks up very nuanced voices and shows very little if any noticeable distortion. Sure, there are more expensive models, which may be better for some applications. For me, this is a great microphone in a sweet spot, and the extra $30 for the CVL 2230 doesn't add anything for my needs. On the contrary, the extra $15 for the CVL 2009 seems like a worthy "investment" relative to the CVL 2005.I should mention that this microphone is fairly sensitive to sounds transmitted to the housing. Put it on a table and tap on the latter, you'll hear the sound making it clearly to the microphone despite the rubber feet. Touching the microphone housing has similar effects, despite the sturdy design. So make sure to have it on a surface you're not working on during use.

Great for video conferencing
I use this Mic as an upgrade to headphone mics when I do video calls - which I've been doing a lot of lately. Everyone on the other end says that I'm nice and clear and that the mic seems to be quality. Seems that the sensitivity (which is adjustable) is great and that it works well. Nice that you can turn it off, too, for security when not in use. Has a headphone jack so you can hear yourself while talking if you want to use closed ear headphones. I'm please, so pleased in fact that I bought one for my wife to use for her online teaching.

Price= quality
The microphone is In no way terrible but for what you paid dont expect professional sound. I originally bought this because it was cheap and i needed one for gaming. I noticed little by little the sound quality was going down i dont use a pop filter so that explain why i get strange spikes. It's good for the price a great entry microphone or one if you are just gaming would not recommend fro streaming or recording but if you do choose so then it'll perform what you expect from the price.

A value mic for telework or light-duty streaming (see details)
I got the Cyber Acoustics Premium USB Condenser Microphone with Colored LED Lights (CVL-2009) to use in a makeshift booth for adding some voice in post to some of my produced work. It's nothing major... just scripted voice over. Well, the CVL-2009 didn't really end up working out for me. The adjustable pattern and on-mic gain control don't really make up for the fact that this is more of a low-end stream/pod piece of equipment - or maybe something that you get to improve your telecommuting audio. Something along the lines of a JLab Talk Go, or a Snowball. The base is stable and relatively heavy, if you don't need real isolation. The physical mic controls are easy to use. Performance is not great compared to my Rode - the response on the CVL-2009 is SUPER hot in the low-mids. While you can EQ that out, the mic still sounded pretty bad with the dynamic compressor that I have on my interface. I'm sure there are use cases for this device, like videoconferencing and streaming, but I don't think serious audio is one of them. Then again, the device is not priced like prosumer equipment, either...

Picked up music from somewhere
Used this microphone to record a video for YouTube, and random music was playing in the background. It wasn’t music we own or were listening to anywhere else in our house. Super weird.

Great sound and price
This is vey easy to use, and the sound quality is wonderful. My laptop had terrible sound quality on Zoom calls, people could barely hear me. I originally bought this to record my daughters singing together, but I have used it instead for Zoom calls on my laptop. I am glad that it has two options for either single or multiple voice because it is great for web calls/conferencing. I did try it on the other setting, just a quick test, but it picked up everything great. I am happy with the price too-- it was a very good value.

Pretty solid!
I use this mic both for daily meetings and gaming sessions so having the two mic modes is really helpful. The buttons and setup are surprisingly intuitive, and it worked with plug and play the way it was supposed to. Sound quality seems great so far, and the LEDs just make it pretty.

the product might be good, I don't know, but I got an old used unit, even broken
I got a clearly used unit, very used actually. So much, so that the USB connecter had fallen off the internal board, so the microphone was unusable. With a new unit, the quality is probably reasonable for the price.

Second hand product
This was definitely not a new product. It is a second hand microphone. I had to use it because I was in dear need for one. Definitely would have returned it.

Funciona bien
El producto va de acuerdo al precio y la descripción, quiza no es el mejor de los microfonos que existan pero hasta el momento no me han comentado que tengan problemas para escucharme durante videollamadas, que es el uso principal que tiene para mi.
