Very pleased that I am able to work out properly again
I bought this bar for the home because I wanted something that would ideally be portable. I'll break the review down into several sections:=====================================INSTALLATION=====================================Installation took me around 30 minutes the first time. It was a bit fiddly doing it myself - as I had to twist the bar with one hand while also keeping the silicone pads straight at both ends. However, I think that two people could probably have installed it much more quickly - in around 10 minutes, perhaps. After putting the bar up, I then realised that the bar was slightly lower at one end than the other. So I had to loosen it and then reinstall it again, which took another 10 minutes. The bar has a minimum length and only just fit into the doorframe in which I installed it. Our doorframe at its narrowest point is 71.5cm across. You could potentially fit the pull up bar into a narrower doorframe by using only one of the locking clamps - now that I understand how the locking clamps work, I think you could get away with using only one of them. But that's a guess rather than a tested fact.=====================================MINOR MARKS ON MY DOORFRAME=====================================When I had to move the not-straight bar, I did notice that the bar has marked our doorframes though. I guess the silicone pads really dig into the paintwork, so they have left marks on the doorframes. The marks on the doorframe are not massively visible - most people walking through the door would not notice them. But I would definitely not want to take the bar to install temporarily in a holiday home or rented cottage for fear of marking their doors.=====================================USAGE AND PERFORMANCE=====================================The silicone pads do grip the doorframe well and several members of the household - the heaviest of whom weighs just under 80kg - have performed pull ups on the bar. In terms of performance, we are very happy.=====================================DELIVERY=====================================Do be aware though that this item may take some time to arrive. I ordered this on 5th April 2020 (shortly after lockdown) began and it took 6 weeks to arrive.=====================================OVERALL=====================================Overall, I'm happy with the bar. It is allowing us to do proper pull ups. I also wanted something that would not require screwing into a doorframe. The only small disappointment is that the silicone pads have left some minor marks on our doorframes, which means that I don't think I will be able to use the pull up bar when we go on holiday to rented accommodation.

Does the job
No major complaints, attaches fairly simply between the doorframe. I try not to put too much stress into the doorframe, so the slanted piece can shift a bit under my whole weight but it still feels secure. I can't speak for people who weigh a lot more than my 68kg or so but it holds my weight sufficiently, I hang rings off mine so am pulling and pushing my weight from different angles. One downside is the plastic clamps that you have to lock the bar with, they're made from cheap plastic and are a bit of a hassle to attach each time. Another other issue is the slanted pieces do spin as you extend the bar, so there's that to fiddle around with at the same time as trying to keep it level, also the safety arrows are barely visible being they're black on a blue background. In summary it does the job it needs to as long as you take care putting it up. You'll want to take it down each time you're finished your routine for the sake of your door and also because it's not the prettiest piece of equipment in the world.

Bar fell off door frame, injurying me.😭
Dislike, I ended up in hospital with suspected spinal Injury and concussion, as bar gave way on me.👍 (Yes I installed it correctly) oh and I'm like 10st.

Easy to install, strong hold, safe to use.
This was much easier to install than I thought it would be, it is a well designed product and once fixed, I don't think it'll slip off due to its innovative design. It feels very safe to use this bar, regardless of your weight. I'm very pleased with this product.

Easy and essential kit
Works on the principle of pushing out at both sides to stay up.Can be a bit fiddly to set up first few times- you twist out each side so it sticks in the frame, then you twist the bar itself to get it to push out more. I put mine in a wooden doorframe and the pushing made the paint crack slightly and I heard some popping noises from the wood, but nothing other than superficial damage. You then may attach 2 gizmos that use threaded screws to stop the bar rotating but I haven't found these essential.Takes roughly 5 mins to get the bar on and seconds to take it off. Any marks left on I was able to remove with water. I think this would fit on any door frame in my house bit use it in the same place. Frame is only half a foot taller than me and fee inches wider, but does the job. Can't get a huge wide grip but does go shoulder width. I do "bicep grip" pull ups anyhow.I weigh between 14 and 16 stones (don't know exactly, BMI over 25 anyhow) and never felt like the bar was slipping, even when dangling for a while. Having never been able to do even 1 pull up (thanks CrossFit) I can now do three in a row! So the bar works.A decent bit of kit which helps me with my upper body strength. It's an easy to understand but hard to do exercise, especially for the husky gentleman. Instruction manual looked to have been Google translated from Chinese but installing isn't rocket science. A worthwhile investment that doesn't take up a ton of to and can be taken down and stored easily.

I like it but it did damage my door frame.
I really liked using this pull-up bar. I actually had to lower myself down rather than pull myself up as I'm not very strong (yet!). I had no trouble putting the bar up. However, when I removed it, it has slightly damaged the wood of my door frame and also taken off some of the paint. It's pretty annoying. I'm probably going to put it back up though because the damage has already been done.

Surprisingly good bar, misleading working sizes
This was my last option for a pull up bar due to renting, a narrow door way and door closer ontop. The device is surprisingly sturdy, however I returned it as the advert says it can fit doors down to around 27”, however the bar can in on these doors. But the essential locking mechanism can’t activate unless the door is larger than 30” ish.Customer service was very good and refunded me with out an issue

Great pull up bar
Love this pull up bar. Previously we had one of the ones that just hook over the top of the doorframe and while that was ok, it wasn’t particularly sturdy (especially when your 8 year old daughter wants to try to swing on it!). This can be fitted in about 5 minutes and seems very secure. Would definitely recommend.
