Only had it for a day, so I can't speak to long term use. However, this was exactly what I was looking for. Plug n play. No drivers, no additional power via Sata. I can't speak for data transfer speeds. I bought it primarily for other external devices (dongles, usb c cable to charge mouse, stream deck, extra mouse, etc) Recognized and powered each device I plugged into it. Great option for anyone needing additional USB ports.Common sense installation tip...before securing it with a screw in your expansion slot, plug in a usb dongle. Some cases don't have much of a tolerance for vertical usb ports in the back, so plugging in a usb dongle ensures you get it perfectly aligned before tightening the screw down.UPDATE. Know your motherboard. On mine, when installed in the pcie_2 or pcie_4 slot the m.2_2 slot is unavailable. This is a deal breaker for me unfortunately so I returned it, but not a fault of the product itself, just a limitation of my MB.

Easy to Install. --- WIN10 64bitOkay, so who doesn't want the speed of USB3 but has limited UBS3 ports (imc 2) on an old'ish desktop??BTW, my external drives require a power supply so I didn't bother connecting a sata power cable (supplied 15 pin cable is TOO short to go from front panel to back pcie slot. You would need one 15-20 inches).***ALL WORKED. NO DROPPED DRIVES. NO SPEED REDUCTION TO USB2.***1- Took about 15 min to install and reconnect all the wires to my desktop.2- Worked immediately without needing to download or install drivers.3- At one point, I had 5 large external drives connected and was transferring data at USB3 speeds (as a test). Even threw in a couple of old USB2 drives connected to USB2 ports on my desktop.4- Even my un-powered USB3 Thumb Drives worked.5- WONDERFUL having USB3 ports on the front of my desktop and not needing to have USB3 cables laying loose on the floor, or even worse, trying to plug something in on the back among all those other wires.

It worked very well, was easy to install, and was recognized by windows 11 immediately.

Having only just been made aware that PCI cards with USB ports plugs existed, I ordered this one. It installed easily and the immediate result wasa cleaned up desktop area where my USB hub had been. Another bonus is that the annoying sound of connecting and disconnecting a USB chord when nobody was near the PC has stopped. I'm guessing this means that the connections are more stable.

I was hoping to increase throughput for 3.0 external drive. but 3.0 connection speed is just a littl ebetter than my USB 2.0.

Parfait pour ajouter prise USB 3.0 à son ordi . Très facile à installer avec l'aide de tuto sur youtube et un bon ami bon en informatique qui m'a aidé à installer moi-même ces prises USB 3.0 sur mon ordi. Moi qui pensais m'acheter un nouvel ordi, pour avoir des prises USB 3.0. Donc une grosse économie et avec plus de fonctionnalité et une plus longue vie à mon ordi. Merci

Fácil de instalar! Son de buena calidad los puertos USB. Es difícil encontrar este producto en tiendas de electrónica o de cómputo. Los recomiendo mucho para actualizar el equipo de computo.

Este artículo encaja en mi vieja PC de 2009 y lo actualiza perfectamente a USB 3. El panel frontal combina con mi caso. Se conecta a un punto de alimentación sata de repuesto para obtener energía y no se necesitan controladores para Win 10 u 11. Mis memorias USB3 aumentan la velocidad de lectura de 34 mb/s a 145 - excelente producto y precio a través de Amazon ES nuevamente - muchas gracias!

Like many I've had problems with using external USB hubs so I decided to try this internal card. Since installing it all my USB devices have been solidly connected with none of the historic problems I'd experienced. Setup was automatic and quick in Windows 10.The only problem I encountered was that the card was too tall to install directly into my Lenovo PC cabinet and I had to cut a section of the chassis out and leave one of the covers off in order to make it fit.Having said that I'm more than happy with the performance at the price. I'd suggest that potential buyers check the physical dimensions carefully just to make sure your cabinet has enough clearance.
