JIM DUNLOPHE114 Flat Thumbpicks, Extra Heavy, 24/Bag

These picks are perfect for my electric playing. I often play a more Mark Knopfler-style picking than traditional thumb picking (or flat picking), and I do have to sand/file them down to a slightly more rounded pick shape, but that takes literally 5 mins. Once I've done that, they work really, really well for me. I have yet to try them on acoustic, but regardless, I play enough electric that these are a winner in my book.

I'm a gigging musician, and I'm missing half of my right index finger. Found these pics decades ago, and they have saved my butt with guitars and basses.

I've had some serious neck surgery and lost considerable grip strength and feeling in my hands. After the better part of fifty years, i could no longer hold a flatpick without having it turn between my thumb and index finger as I played. I couldn't feel it, but only knew, when I would start missing the strings, because I was playing with the side of the pick rather than the point. I can hold and use these picks like a standard flatpick, and they don't turn because of the thumb loop. It's allowed me to continue to play, which would have been impossible otherwise.

I used the Herco Heavy thumb picks for several years before discovering the Extra Heavy picks. These EH picks wear down slowly along the edges instead of cracking (and pinching).They're great for switching between fingering and picking a bass. When not on my thumb, they hook around my strap for quick access when I need to grab one. I won't even consider another product. I try to buy a 1-year supply when I need more.

Got these beauties for my boyfriend. He loves Herco but he has been using the Heavy, well he is in a heavy metal band and goes through these suckers like no ones business. Got the extra heavy and while reading the other reviews these guys should last through the grinding, shredding and being less flexible.

These are great for switching between finger picking and playing flat pick leads. The heavy wasn't stiff enough but these are perfect for me. My only gripe is you can't pick the color you want but get an assortment.

Always my favorites but getting harder to find, especially Extra Heavy.

Non do 5 stelle perché, secondo me, oltre a farle di colore diverso dovrebbero essere anche di spessore diverso invece hanno tutti lo stesso spessore . Sono un po' duri per fare le classiche pennate ma vanno bene in fingherstile. Essendo 24pz modificherò io lo spessore in base alle esigenze, ma un azienda come la dunlop dovrebbe essere attenta a questi fattori.
