They are intriguing to use - the way the line becomes a line with an outline is fascinating. The results are lovely when used by an older child or adult - they'd be wasted on a toddler who scribbles as lots of over-writing spoils the effect.

My daughter spotted another brand outliner pens like these on a social media website recently and asked me to buy her some but after seeing the expensive price tag, I stumbled upon these for half the cost. I am really happy I purchased them for her, the colours are very vibrant. They are a pigment ink pen also containing acrylic paint. They are certainly very different! Initially, each pen needs a little shake and pump to get the ink flowing and they do not leak during this process. I was quite amazed to see the colour disperse around the edge of the silver paint. If you turn the page over you cannot see the silver ink at all but just the colour of the pigment that you are using. So the science behind this appears to be from the mix of the pigment and acrylic, as you write with them the silver acrylic pushes the pigment colour to the back of the paper and you then see a small outline on the front. If you go over the coloured line with the silver again it turns silver, magic. We really love these pens and they are a fantastic addition to our Arts and Crafts supply. Great for card making, journaling, fancy lettering and much more. My only criticism is that the purple outline pen isn't always as strong as it could be without giving the pen a little extra pump just before use, I don't seem to have the issue with the other pens. However, it's only a minor issue that I can rectify and overall really pleased with them. I would be happy to purchase them again in the future.

bought as rather fun craft idea but disappointed, not all work on well, and some the effect didnt last long with continued use. possibly need to spend more and not cheaper versions.
