Best (maybe only) bidirectional scan tool for GM cars & trucks. Save me $3000 to fix my turbo!
This is a bidirectional tool that can do a lot more than simple scan tools. On my 2007 Silverado 2500 HD 6.6L Duramax it can command the turbo vanes from 0 to 100%, and monitor the actual position. This GM version can command the radio, transmission, dash controls, and door locks, program key fobs and other functions.I saved at least $3000 by getting my turbo charger vane controller to work by actuating it 0-100% repeatedly while under load using this tool.

Very poor first impression
The home page of the website offers (for reasons that are entirely unclear) two choices: a .com site and a .us site. The .us site does not work - after an extended delay, it simply returns to the home page (an endless loop). So I entered the .com site and submitted a user registration there and got a return email. So far, so good, except that none of the software tools mentioned in answers to questions or in the included printed material are available.Tried to register my new scanner, but I kept getting an error message "The serial number does not exist." A second endless loop.Tried to submit a message on the "Contact us" page, but that just brings up a "Please refresh page to continue" box. A third endless loop. Not off to an auspicious start. If I get some response from the manufacturer's rep I will revisit this review and edit it; otherwise, this seems destined for a prompt return.

Great alternative to spending big bucks at a GM dealership
Used this tool on a 2014 Chevy Spark. StabiliTrak light was on with a code for the Brake Pedal Position Sensor. The part was only $20, but you can't just throw a new sensor in. The replacement sensor has to be calibrated to the car, or the light stays on and the system will not work. This tool allowed me to view all faults in the car, clear them, and learn in the new Brake Pedal Position Sensor. Only complaint is the menus are a bit confusing, and it took me some time to find what menu the correct "learn" option was in. The BPP Sensor is learned in the Body Control Module, and I needed to select "yes" that the Spark had GMLAN to access it. Once I figured that out, the whole operation was done in a couple minutes. Probably paid for itself already since I'm sure the local GM dealer would have charged at least 2 hours to do it. Definitely will use it again if I come across another GM that needs specialized diagnostics.

It did what I needed & paid for itself in one use
The Foxwell NT510 Elite worked as advertised. It allowed me to repair my BMW’s electronic parking brake, reset the error code, and activate the brake using the keypad. The dealer wanted $2300 to replace the entire electronic parking brake module and “program it to the car”...... which is code for “plug it in” and charge a fortune......whereas I was able to repair the module for only $23 plus the cost of the Foxwell NT510 Elite. The unit was advertised as and came preloaded with the appropriate BMW diagnostic tests - I did not have to download from the web, although software updates on the Foxwell site are available free for “life” with purchase of the unit.On the “could improve” side, it would be helpful if Foxwell provided plain-English definitions as to what the various BMW fault/error codes actually mean. There is certainly no shortage of errors on these overly complex automobiles, so having a unit like this Fowxwell NT510 Elite either helps you repair your vehicle and reset the error code, or better prepare you for a discussion with your BMW stealership.

Frustrating but works
3 hours. That’s how long it took to figure out how to get the software installed that should have been preinstalled but was not. The product arrived as nothing more than a basic OBD reader because nothing was installed. None of the websites in the supporting documentation were valid and come to find out, there are two completely different Foxwell websites and two completely different software updaters depending on the model. The NT510 pro uses the Foxwell.com site, but the Elite must be registered on the Foxwell.us site. I was beyond frustrated before I figured that out on my own (tech support email support has been non existent for me so far). So finally after finding the correct website and software I was able to update the device with the software that should have come with it out of the box. 3 stars since it does work but support and quality assurance are more than lacking.

Custom Support Stinks
I have never been able to get this sorry piece of brick to work. It has been one issue after another.1. Couldn't register device took support weeks to respond and give me another link tor register my device. Finally got it registered online and tried to use the website to download software updates.2, Still couldn't download software so support suggested I download the desktop app. No data or direction to tell me it is for windows, I was trying to download on MAC. so, I moved to windows device and downloaded the app.WHen you download app you have to re-register to use the app. Did that and it looks like I am setup in the desktop app. Now I can't download or do any configurations in the app or through the browser. So, I purchased 2 additional vehicles which was like 160 bucks. I can't download that software either. This thing is a piece of crap and the support stinks even worse. Save your money this company is a joke and just taking ppls money. I have read other reviews with similar issues and nothing is done. AMAZON should be taking this crap off the site.

Suitable for the job
Works as expected. Used for diagnostic purposes with complex car computer systems.
