Beadsmith Nylon Chain Nose Pliers Are High Quality & Come with Pair of Replacement Covers
I have used the Beadsmith Double Nylon Chain Nose Pliers several times now working with 26-22 gauge wire doing Kumihimo braiding. I find the nylon covers are protecting the colored coated copper wire. The pliers do help to straighten the wire out. The pliers did come with a replacement pair of nylon covers as listed in product description. Some previous reviewers mentioned they have gotten the pliers with the screws that hold on the nylon covers, came through the nylon covers and thus defeating the purpose of the covers protecting the wire when using the pliers. The pair I received, the covers were fully screwed on and in the screws were in their correct places. Like my husband and I were talking when buying tools that you will use over and over, it is best to buy the name brand tools that are known for there quality. Cheaper brands often turn out to be cheap knockoffs that are more likely to break or not be up to the specs you need. Also companies who their names are associated with quality and their name is know in various areas are often more likely to replace a flawed or damage tool that comes from a company that you don't know the name or name isn't easily recognizable. Beadsmith is one of the 2-3 companies that I am aware of that jewelry and other hobbyist usually buy their smaller hand tools from. I own several of Beadsmith tools that I use in my jewelry making and I find the tools to be of high quality.

Arrived Broken
Before I could even use the pliers, I noticed that both nylon pieces had big cracks in them. I had to use the replacement pieces before I ever even used the pliers! Also, they were much smaller than I thought they would be.I received the replacement pliers in the mail and they are broken even worse than the first pair I received.

Didn’t work for what I intended
These are very well made jewelry pliers. I bought these to use with locking jump rings as suggested by an instructional video. The nylon tips will not grip the jump ring. It slips out. The intention of the nylon is to not scar the metal but it doesn’t do the job I bought them for.

Shirt life span
These are really great for what I needed but the nylon does not last long at all.

So happy I finally bought these!
I’ve been making wire jewelry for awhile now and was putting off buying more tools for a bit, these were a huge game changer! Wish I would have bought them right away!

Beadsmith products
I have no problem with Bead Smith products, they are quality. However, looks like this one slipped threw the quality control.

They Do The Job - Excellent!
These make light work of straightening thicker gauge wires. I use them for wire work in jewellery - wire-wrapping, wire weaving - where you need to compress to tighten and at the same time leave no marks.I have an old pair that I’ve used for years which came with a set of various pliers but I needed to upgrade and so bought these.Early days yet I know but these do feel stronger than my old ones and Beadsmith are a good name.

Replacement nylon jaw pads seem impossible to find
Pros: These are pretty nice pliers. They're on the finer side, so they should probably be used with thinner wires to make them last longer. If you're working with 14 - 16g regularly, you should probably get a heavier/sturdier pair. I like the feel. The springs have just the right amount of tension. The size fits in my hand very comfortably. They're really great little pliers.Cons: The problem is, try as I might I can not seem to find replacement nylon jaw pads for these! Learning the hard way, after using with heavier gauge wires, the smaller/finer 22 -28g wires just slide right through the grooves that the bigger wires made and the pliers then become somewhat useless. I'd definitely change my review to 5* IF The Bead Smith sold replacement nylon jaw inserts for these on Amazon!I'm thinking if someone, (me included), is looking for nylon jaw pliers for making jewelry, the first thing to do is to see who sells the replacement jaws. After all, you're going to need them eventually. How easy are they to get (eg: Amazon Prime item, always in stock, etc.). Reasonable cost is always a bonus!

Initially, good working
When these arrived, I was pleased to get them, as others didn't make it through 2 uses. These were smooth working until about the 5th use. Granted, I did get a set of replacement jaws, but I would like a product that works for a significant amount of time. Considering the cost, I expected more.

ME INTERESABAN MUCHO LAS PINZAS
LO QUE NO ME GUSTO QUE EL PRODUCTO ESTUVIERA EN MAL ESTADO NO FUE TANTO LAS REPUESTOS QUE VENIAN ROTOS ESO ERA LO DE MENOS, SI NO QUE LA PINZA ESTABA DESNIVELADA Y FUE POR ESO LA DEVOLUCIÒN.
