My favorite tea!
I had this tea in a local restaurant. I liked it so much that I had them show me the box. I sent on Amazon and ordered it right then. I love asian food. I have tea at home now whenever I make Asian food!

Naturally sweet
Delicious hot or cold. The tea has a natural sweetness to it. I checked to ensure there was no artificial sweetener in it after tasting it and nope… it’s just the underlying flavor of pear. Highly recommend.

Fragrant and delicious
The tea is very fragrant, even in the package. It has a powerful and delightful aroma. The flavor is good and not bitter.

But...the smell is Funky
Let me first say I'm Filipina and can overcome a lot of smells, tastes, odors and textures when it comes to food. I was hooked on eating fish eyes when I was a toddler for Pete's sake. My mom would have to buy fresh fish heads at the fishing docks and just a small insight to my food culture and upbringing. But the smell of THIS tea is SO awful, it took me over an hour to work up the nerve to take a sip and still that was hard to do. It is like trying to build up the will to drink a bottle of perfume. I could only handle a few sips more before I removed it from my vicinity so it wouldn't fill my bedroom with it's aroma.I can only say the taste is definitely not as unpleasant as it smells -slightly earthy. Pear notes? Sure, I guess. I can't offer much else. The rest is going in the trash. I hate wasting anything, but I can't stomach this. I also hate being negative, but I have to be honest and prepare you... It's funky. That's also coming from someone who adds cayenne, Golden milk blend (turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, ginger) and moringa powder to her herbal mushroom tea every day. I can handle *the funk.*

Good flavor
Subtle notes of Asian pear and honey. Good flavor but would enjoy it Even more if the flavors were stronger.

Lovely
This tea has the most surprising and robust smell. It’s such a shock! However, the flavor is mild and lovely. I drink my teas either room temperature, or cold. I also took advice from a professional when making tea… never get the water to boiling. Boiling makes tea bitter; and he’s right. I keep that in mind whenever I see someone who states a drink as bitter. It’s expensive, but a wonderful indulgence.
