Great Product
I appreciate the sturdiness and sleekness of the material. I like that it is customizable. I highly recommend marking your studs ahead of time. Once you know where your studs are, the install is quick (within 30 min). I absolutely love the accessories (pant rack, shoe rack, etc.).

Have tools on hand to modify the pieces!
The shelves were very hard to install because the grooves for the shelves would not fit into the slots. We had to grind the grooves down for them to fit and remain sturdy. Also several pieces were missing, so we had to improvise. For the money it is fine, but I wish I’d gone for something more high end.

Works well and looks good
I got this organizer because I needed more hanging space in our closets. The installation was not difficult. It has worked well for two of our closets

Heavy, high quality materials
I have a 4 ft. closet....exactly. This system was a little pricey but great quality. At first in this small space I thought it looked too bulky, but once the clothes were hung up and it was in use, it’s just perfect.

Instant Closet Organization - Closely Resembles Elfa Closets!
I installed the Knape & Vogt Closet Culture Wire Closet Organization System in my garage for use as extra storage for coats, umbrellas, overflow dry goods, and such. This closet system closely resembles similar closet storage systems we have installed in our home by Elfa but is considerably cheaper.► Installation:The K&V Closet System comes with pretty decent instructions and overall I feel pretty strongly that even a novice can install this system without too much trouble. The key to a successful installation is making sure you find the studs in your wall and marking everything off before mounting the top rail. The entire closet system will hang off the top rail so this step is the most critical. The top rail is a solid piece of metal framing that is mounted directly to the wall and is pre-drilled and powder coated like the rest of the metal components.Once the top rail is mounted successfully, the rest of the installation is incredibly easy. The long vertical hanging rails just slide onto the top rail and hang down. The shelf brackets mount to the slots on the vertical rails; then the shelves mount onto the brackets and so forth. Plastic sleeves fit into the space between the vertical rails to give the system a cleaner look. Easy!I do suggest having at a minimum the following tools on hand for an easy and successful install:• Drill• Level• Electric screwdriver• Measuring tape• Stud finder► Overall Thoughts Versus Elfa:My wife and I outfitted all of the bedrooms in our home with Elfa Closet Systems shortly after purchasing our home. I think the Knape & Vogt Closet System is almost identical in terms of material quality (see note below). The installation process is essentially exactly the same too.The primary difference between the two systems (aside from price) is that Elfa offers a ton more in customization compared to the K&V product. I spent some time looking through the vendors Amazon products and what you see is basically what you get. With Elfa, you can configure all sorts of extra little touches and attachments depending on the dimensions of your closet or space.Hands down, if your space matches up closely to the K&V dimensions (4', 6', 8') and you don't want all the extras that Elfa offers, this is the way to go and will save you considerable money.Where the K&V closet system does disappoint or lag behind Elfa a bit is in the shelves. Or more precisely the overall strength of the shelves. For example, I placed two twelve packs of soda in the middle of one of the shelves and noticed it was sagging quite a bit. The issue was resolved by sliding the packs all the way to the back of the shelf and to one side so it'd be better supported. Contrast that with our Elfa shelves which can hold a ton of weight with no perceptible bending. Not a major issue but worth noting.► Closing:I'm very happy overall with our little garage storage shelves and hanging space. The quality of the K&V Closet Solution closely resembled the much more expensive Elfa system even if it lags slightly in overall weight it can hold. Recommended!

Very good use of space!
As a guy, I find it frustrating the way many closets are set up, wasting a great deal of space. I often have shirts and pants that could be hung in the same vertical space if the closet allowed it. The Knape & Vogt 48 inch Closet Culture Wire Closet Organization System with 3 Champagne Nickel Shelves allows me to set up my closet in a way that I can hang my shirts in the upper space of the closet and my pants in the lower space. It also allows me to use the entire vertical space for longer items, like bathrobes or my wife's dresses.I'm VERY impressed with Knape & Vogt - I was not familiar with them before this, but the Closet Culture Wire Closet Organization System is very well made. The pieces are quality and the instructions are pretty clear and easy to follow and I like that you can put it together with a fairly large degree of customization. It is fairly easy to put together and as long as you are familiar with the basic around-the-house DIY tools, like a level, drill and screws, maybe a stud finder and some markers and rulers you should be able do to this. The only thing I found at all negative about the set is the price is a little much for what you get. But I suppose that you pay for the quality and this is a quality set.I am very happy with my closet now, and I would recommend this set without reservation. It is a great way to organize your closet without a full re-design or hiring a company to come in and redo your closet from the ground up. Definitely a nice way to organize your closet.

Ideal for a closet, mostly steel, hangs from a center rail
4" set: When this arrives the box looked a little daunting. But upon opening, it's mostly padding and space to protect the contents. It's divided into one box for the rails, another for the shelves, and compartments for the rods and parts. Everything except the hooks that the rods hang from are metal. The rod hangers are plastic. To install, you hang the top rail using the included screws. This has to go into studs. It's heavy, as are the rest of the pieces. This is the top-most height of the unit, so the height is important. I have a set of shelves in the bottom of my closet for shoes and boots, so I want the unit to hang above this. The closet is tall, so I have room to spare. Find the studs, use a lever to draw a straight line, install the top rail. The rest slides and snaps into place. The shelves are a lighter weight metal grid and will support clothes, boots, or medium weight storage containers. Honestly, cleaning out the closet and hanging the clothes again took more time than the install. Tools needed: Electric screwdriver/drill, level.
