I'm using a favorite pen again. Perfect match for refill 8521 = 0713
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this product because I got a definite answer from the Q&A thing that the 8521 model refill was a replacement for the 0713 model refill. Hard to tell by photos alone. Perfect match. I am using my favorite pen again. Ink quality is fine.

Excellent
I love my Cross pen, and when I needed a refill I discovered that ONLY Cross refills will fit, and I tried a LOT. Now, they're perfectly fine, but I think it's kind of sneaky on the part of Cross, though a clever marketing strategy. Maybe there are a few off-brands that will work, but I haven't found one. That's OK because the refills are as high quality as the pens. Gel pens can smudge, but Cross dries fast. The color is a dark blue (not blue/black) and it is easy to write with; the pen pretty much glides across the paper. It's worth it.

Disappointed- Quality is less than expected
I’ve been using Cross roller ball pens for years. It’s getting increasingly more difficult to find ink refills locally at the big box office stores. Amazon to the rescue, but these refills quality don’t appear to be good as what I’ve grown accustomed to in the past. The ink flow isn’t as smooth as previously and sometimes requires to retrace to get a good solid line. These cartridges were bought from the Cross store at Amazon and appear to be real Cross refills so I’m disappointed in the overall quality of them. Cross appears to be using less expensive components in these refills.

Just what I needed and works great.
Works as it should just like the original (it is the original, isn't it?). Best part is I ordered it one evening and there it was the next afternoon... so half the review is just for the convenience.
