Hello, World! How Do Apples Grow? Kindle Edition

I bought my son Jill McDonald's Solar System book when he was an infant. He's now turning 3 and I will continue to buy her Hello World books for him and his baby sister. One of his favorite places to go is our local apple orchard, so this book was especially interesting and relevant to him. This book explains how apples grow from seeds, as well as the different parts of an apple, and how apples get from farm to store. Jill McDonald's books are beautifully illustrated, easy to follow, and simply worded without ever feeling "babyish". As toddlers get older they get more interested in the bonus facts that the books contain. Even my son's 8 year old cousins like to read these books with him, so based on our experience they do appeal to a wide age range. They're a really fun introduction to STEM subjects for little learners. Highly recommend!

I love all of the Hello, World! books by Jill McDonald that I've bought so far. They're bright, attractive, informative, and explain things to children in a simple manner but not dumbed down.

The imagery is wonderful, but the writing is disjointed and often not connected with anything. It’s pretty much a random feeling to it and for young readers it leaves them more confused.

Well & simply written. Yet very educational. Easy for my 3 year old grandson to understand & follow. It held his attention from start to finish! Cheerful & colorfully illustrated.

Of the million Apple Books out there, this one was quite well done!! I love how the book explained how an apple tree grows and all else apple-related. I recommend this apple book to parents and teachers.

Really great in depth science book for inquisitive toddlers. My daughter loves reading it and telling us about how apples grow.

Everything you ever wanted to know about apples is in this book. It's written so well for small kids. This was my first Hello, World book and I want them all now. If you're child likes apples they will love this book.

My kids love every book in this series. They are a staple of our bedtime routine. My family was blown away when my 4 year old told them all about the parts of a flower and could explain the basics of how a plant grew.

My 2 year-old adores this book.It’s informative and I like the additional facts that can included or left out as you read, giving a different experience each time.Lovely detailed illustrations.

Bought this along with some others in this series for my toddler room in the creche I work in. The children absolutely love them.
